K2009-0002: TV series addict
by kyashi on Jun.09, 2009, under Blog Entries
For the past few months after the wedding proposal, Jason and I have been busy with wedding preparations. Because all major things have been setup and reserved, I guess we have enough reasons to slack a little…hihi…
Well, over the past few days, I have been a slave of my Eeepc 1000h laptop and the following TV series. I just can’t get enough of them. Some of them, I’ve watched, 3 times or more. I even began to memorize their scripts. Hahaha…Well, most of them I’ve watched over the weekend. Sometimes, I amaze myself that I was able to finish one season in a day…If there would be a job like a reviewer of TV series or movie, I’d definitely apply for that…haha…Here they are.
1) House (Season 5) - # of times watched: 2 times..hihi..I wonder what would happen to Dr. House :,(
2) Big Bang Theory (Seasons 1 & 2) – # of times watched: 3 times, okay okay! 4 times. ahaha, I just loooovvvvveee Sheldon!
3) Leverage(Season 1) – # of times watched: 2 times, I like Parker and Elliot.
4) Fringe (Season 1) – # of times watched: 1 time, but this does not mean that I’ll not be watching it again..maybe after a week
5) Worst Week (Season 1) – # of times watched: 1 time, his wife there looks like Jorja Fox of CSI
6) You’re under Arrest Live Action (This one’s Japanese) – # of times watched: 1 time
Next to watch: True Blood, Prison Break, and Dexter.
Heeewwwww…
K2009-0001: the proposal
by kyashi on Jan.03, 2009, under All the rest
Hi, I’m Katherine de Guzman, 25 years old. As I am writing this, I am listening to a song. To my favorite song… a song from the movie that captured my heart, My Sassy Girl, which I’ve watched countless times. I never imagined that this song would also be the one that I am going to hear when I get to answer the one question that almost all girls are waiting for to hear. I am not really used to writing but right now? I feel like doing it. It gets me into thinking, what would life be after this? Would I be leaving my bachelorette life behind? Will my priorities change? Will life be easier or harder? Too many questions pop in my mind right now. And it seems like some, I can think of the answers, but some… I can’t think of any definite and right answer. Answers, which I think should leave for myself as you also have your own opinion on that. I want to describe that that special instance of my life. For once, I felt like the world stopped, my lips were sealed and I can’t say anything. For 2-3 seconds, I am not sure if he’s asking me or that I was just daydreaming that he was asking me. When I get back on my mind, the ring was already there and when I spoke, the first words that came out of my mouth was definitely not “yes” and the worst thing is I can’t remember it. But that time, I sure want to kiss and hug him. I am not sure how things are going to be after this. I still have plenty of work to do and I think the next time that we’ll be discussing this is after this week, when all our other commitments are finished. As of this writing, no one knows that I am engaged to my long-time boyfriend. By the time that I post this, everyone will know that my parent’s only daughter, my friends so called no-plan-in-life girl, my high school-friends’ so called “kaladkarin” (term for a person who always travel), my officemate’s so called “Pare” (Bro) and my relatives’ so called “Ate” (elder sister) will be walking down the aisle, will exchange vows with someone who she wants to spend the rest of her life with and in a year’s time, will take the name, Katherine de Guzman-Saba

J0028 christmas goodies
by jasonkidd on Dec.11, 2008, under All the rest
as it goes every year, december 10 ends with us receiving our company bonuses, not only limited to the moolah (and gift checks!), but some other holiday items as well. the haul for this year is not really bad – 2 kilos of christmas (?) sausages (down from 5 kilos last year), imported goodies (canned stuff), body/laptop bag (without the laptop), company tumbler, and another sack-like bag emblazoned with the company logo, with nylon cords to close it (knapsack? shoe bag?).
my problem now is what to do with them: i’ve bought a bodybag this year (of the same color), which looks to be much more serviceable than the company-issued one; i’m currently using a starbucks tumbler, with several other tumblers (seattle’s best, disney) gathering cobwebs at home. and as a souvenir for watching the blueman show, i got myself knapsack/shoe bag, just barely 3 months ago!
not that i’m complaining, i know there are people who don’t get bonuses and stuff, so i’m extremely thankful for that, i just find it (worth blogging?) exasperating that i might not be able to put these goodies into good use after all.
at least there’s always next year. if only christmas bonus are given every month…
J0027 starbucks addict
by jasonkidd on Nov.26, 2008, under Vacation
while waiting for our flight home from hk 2 days ago (obviously this is already different vacation from post J0026, i just didn’t have the time, nor drive to write this past few weeks), i found this chinese (hong kongesian? hehe) woman holding a tall, red starbucks coffee, which naturally had me looking around for the coffeeshop at the airport. leaving kyashi to tend to the birthday greetings she received (yey for free airport wifi!), i went around and around, up and down the vicinity, only to return to the lounge empty-handed.
as we left for our gate, i thought, there probably is a starbucks coffee shop near the gate, given how filipinos love to drink coffee (of course, part of my assumption was that, most if not all cebu pacific flights are routed through that gate). true enough, a few stores from gate 49 stood the stall! got my fix, got to spend hk coins that burdens my wallet, too bad they don’t have a sticker promo else i might have already been an owner of a chinese planner! :p (continue reading…)
J0026 day one at las vegas
by jasonkidd on Sep.11, 2008, under Vacation
we arrived at vegas on schedule, and ate joann fetched us at the airport. even from there, slot machines litter the place already! we took the shuutle to the polo towers (easily the smallest hotel in the vicinity), and tried to settled for the night.
joyce and i decided to still wander around that night to buy dinner, and we landed into this foodcourt where she bought subway and i ate wendys. no wonder americans are big, the somewhat regular burger i ordered was triple-layered. obviously, some of it went straight to the trash bin.
we decided to take some pictures already, so mgm grand, and the new york new york area were made backdrops that night. we then took the long route around mgm grand (unintenionally), and got back to our internet-less hotel. (continue reading…)
